With no formal bills being passed to change the US immigration policies, Trump raised the idea of sending the country’s illegal immigrants to so-called sanctuary cities, or the cities who expressed their support to people seeking refuge in the United States, something that his critics regarded as retribution against those who continue to oppose his proposed immigration reforms.
