Prepare your design for printing

1. Choose CMYK or PMS color modes

To ensure accurate colors with silk screener, do not use RGB color mode. PMS or CMYK colore modes are the best choice. These modes of color male the separation of color simple yet accurate.

2. Change all text to outlines

You don’t want any substitution done to your fonts. To avoid this, you will have to change all text to outlines so that any computer will read it as an image instead of text.

3. Finalize your design in its actual size

Printing can sometimes misjudge the actual size of your work. So the best way to protect you from any hassle and possible cost, complete and finalize your work in its actual size. If you do not know what size you want, simply use a ruler to the shirt you are wearing. It’s the simplest way to get close to the most accurate size you want.

5. Expand strokes

In case you have correctly arranged all your color modes to PMS, then you will have no problem. Expand your strokes if you don’t want to ruin a good project. To expand do this, choose what you need to expand then head to Object > Expand.
